Grávalos
History
The history of Grávalos, like that of many companies, is marked by the entrepreneurial spirit of one person who begins the journey, and by others, in later generations, who continue and broaden the horizons. The family-owned company was founded in 1946 and is now run by the third generation.
Graválos is dedicated to the manufacture of technical parts for household appliances, automotive, and consumer electronics.
It has sections for plastic injection, metal stamping and automatic assembly. The company designs and manufactures its own tooling and assembly lines, for which it has a technical office and a machining section, which also plans and carries out the various maintenance tasks.
Since 2002, the company has been located in El Burgo de Ebro, in the Polígono Industrial La Noria, where it moved from its previous site in the Barrio de Las Fuentes in Zaragoza.
Since 2005, Grávalos has had a subsidiary in Poland, in the city of Łodź, and more recently, in 2021, it opened another in Morocco, located in Tangier.
The business group employs about 300 people, of whom about 70% are women.
Customer service and manufacturing quality govern all of the group’s operations, as evidenced by the ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications held by the group’s plants. The group’s commitment to the environment and sustainability is fundamental, which is why our plants have ISO 14001 environmental certification.
Albores (1946-1954)
The company was founded in 1946, in small premises in Zaragoza, dedicated to the manufacture of small metal parts.
One of the fundamental principles of the company, from the beginning, has been the care of its collaborators and the management and control of occupational risks, proof of which is our registration in the Mutual Accident Insurance Company of Zaragoza a few days after its foundation.
Growth (1955-1962)
The company moves to a larger and better equipped building, incorporates more stamping presses, thus increasing its manufacturing capacity, and is provided with a commercial structure, thus increasing its customer portfolio, beginning to produce metal parts and assemblies for the consumer electronics market, which was beginning to be generated in those years.
The assemblies were mounted on thermoset injected supports, a technology incorporated in those years. In addition, raw materials are more readily available, allowing for more fluid production.
The second generation of the Grávalos family joins the company.
Consolidation (1963-2002)
During these years, a new move took place, to a warehouse that the company built in the neighborhood of Las Fuentes in Zaragoza. During this period, there was a firm commitment to thermoplastic injection, automation for the assembly section, maintenance was strengthened and new technologies were incorporated.
The company also became ISO 9001 certified for the first time and began exporting its products to Europe, the United States and Asia.
The second generation of the family takes over the management of the company, and the third generation joins the family.
Expansion (since 2002)
The growth of the company makes possible a new relocation, in this case to El Burgo de Ebro, to a 10,000 m2 warehouse.
Investment in technology continues, management is modernized and professionalized, the third generation of the family takes over management, the company goes international, with subsidiaries in Poland and Morocco, forming a business group.
Today, the group has 85 injection molding machines, 22 assembly lines, and employs some 300 people.
The family, the management team, and all the people who are part of the business group, continue working with the same enthusiasm as always, with the maxim of customer service always in the first place, and with an eye on the year 2046, when it will celebrate its centenary.
Bosch Global Supplier Award (2023)
On July 14, 2023, the Grávalos Group receives the prestigious Bosch Global Supplier Award from the Bosch Group. This award distinguishes the group as one of the German multinational’s best suppliers worldwide, and marks a historic day in the company’s history.
The Bosch Group has approximately 35,000 suppliers worldwide, of which only 46 have been selected to receive this award.
